Norway Restrictions

Bergen’s city council bans cruise ship passengers from leaving ships docked in the city. Cruise ships arriving in Bergen can dock and take on supplies, but passengers must remain on board.   The ban comes into force immediately.

 

Bergen had been the only Norwegian port to announce such measures, but Stavanger quickly followed with their own announcement as the number of COVID-19 cases in Norway starts to rise rapidly.

This article does say that currently Hurtigruten ships are still allowed to embark and disembark passengers.

Trump just announced that, starting this Friday, the U.S. will suspend flights from Europe (Britain excepted) for a period of 30 days.

Has anybody seen posts from travelers on the March 10 Northern Lights cruise? We had to cancel, but I hope they are doing well and get to see the Lights up north. They should have left Bergen before the restrictions took hold.

We also had to cancel, but I believe that ship started heading for Tilbury in the middle of last night effectively ending the cruise early in London.

It was posted on the ship information on a marine traffic app that basically tracks all vessels at sea.
