MSC extends date to resume operations to May 29

Maybe it's old news around here. 

 

This extension appears to be beyond the date other cruise lines have announced.   (And shows that MSC management has a more sensible idea of what is reasonable given this infection.)

Yeah there were a couple threads on this last week

One of the takeaways here is that MSC has the majority of their fleet on 2 week sailings, so when they made decisions, they kind of do it 2 weeks at a time.  So if they knew they probably wouldn't be able to sail by mid-May, it just made sense to cancel through the end.

Carnival have cancelled cruises for two of their ships to the end of October and November!

Those ships, the Radiance and the Mardi Gras are in the shipyards; one for a refurbishment and one is a new construction.  We were supposed to be on the Radiance, the refurbishment at the end of August.

One of them is the Legend which was due to sail from NYC to Dover in the UK.
