Rare Plato123 Posted April 10, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2020 We have a Pullmantur cruise booked for September out of Athens but I doubt it will happen. In addition, we have a Grand Suite booked but it has no balcony and I don't think I will ever do another cruise without a balcony. I hope the industry survives and look forward to future cruises. Here is a view from our balcony early one morning as we are arriving in Colon. For the memories.
Smurf2017 Posted April 12, 2020 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2020 We are supposed to be sailing with them out of Athens also, but in June. Up to now they have only cancelled up to the end of May, but I honestly cannot see that going ahead. I wouldn't give up hope for September just yet though unless your problem would be leaving and returning your home country. We're coming up with plans B & C at the moment. B is to push ours back to nearer your date and C is to push it even further and visit the Holy Land instead. It's a waiting game.

No it didn't - we were due to sail from Dubai on 15 March and assured by Pullmantur up to two days before that the cruise would go ahead albeit with an altered itinerary. It was cancelled late on 14 March due to the State of Alarm being declared in Spain on 15 March. Originally promised a 150% refund, we are currently being offered a future cruise credit to the value of the cruise plus some onboard credit - not impressed! leyla Posted June 10, 2020 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2020 Just received (in Spanish) from Pulmantur cruises that all cruises are cancelled as of today until November 15th, 2020.
Rare Plato123 Posted June 11, 2020 Author #7 Share Posted June 11, 2020 Received an email from VtG on behalf of Pullmantur saying our cruise out of Athens was cancelled and offering us a FCC as well as a discount on our next Pullmantur booking. The offer varies by category up to 250 Euros per cabin on suites. We had planned to cancel so this is better than losing our deposit. We apparently will be sent vouchers from Pullmantur.
