Changing rooms at L&S

I am currently booked on Symphony with  2 connecting ocean view balconies.

During my L&S, will they let me change category to a Grand Suite 1 bedroom which actually prices out cheaper than the 2 connection ocean view balconies?

You have to change before the lift and switch I was told. On the cruise you have now 

 

The lift and switch has to be to the same category

No.  Lift and shift must be the same category.

 

What you can do is just move the Deposit to the new sailing and pick whatever room you want. You may or may not be able to combine the %two reservations.

No, to Lift and Switch you need to stay in the same category.  I wanted to go from a Grand Loft to the Royal Loft and could not unless I did a completely new booking, which I did as the RL was cheaper than the GL I had booked this year.
