That extra two feet is important to some. The following info is provided only because I have already booked my Deck 5 aft stateroom for Alaska 2022. My favorite stateroom for Alaska is any aft stateroom, except Deck 8, so that I can photographing what is happening on both sides of the ship without leaving my room to walk to the other side of the ship. Deck 5 on Vista Class ships, except Noordam, are fully covered which lets me spend lots of time whale watching and taking photos in spite of the weather. With no wind while the ship is moving, I can dine on my balcony while most other passengers cannot.
DaveOKC Posted January 13, 2021 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2021 According to this website, the Eurodam's Signature Suites are 300 sf vs a balcony (verandah cabin) of 200 sf, a difference of 50% more. Review plans and judge for yourself. https://www.cruisemapper.com/cabins/ms-Eurodam-
Rare Crew News Posted January 13, 2021 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2021 The depth of the balconies are determined by the width of the applicable ship deck. What varies is the length of the balcony. After comparing two of my photos, I estimate that the balcony is approx five feet wider on an SS stateroom. VS 5116 SS6084
