caymancouple Posted May 27, 2021 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2021 Don't know how soon "the coming weeks" is, but looks like St. Maarten is going to drop the testing requirements for those fully vaccinated. See the linked video at the 43:50 time point. He is the St. Maarten Minister of Health. Wed. May 26th, St. Maarten Press Conference

new_cruiser Posted May 28, 2021 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2021 It's not just you. The link is the one for this thread. Perhaps the OP copied and pasted the wrong link. I tried to google the press conference but didn't get anywhere.

new_cruiser Posted May 28, 2021 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2021 All that was said was that they were discussing whether to drop the testing requirement for vaccinated people. It's one sentence near the end of the second speaker's report. No likely to drop - more neutral; maybe, maybe not.
wesport Posted May 28, 2021 #6 Share Posted May 28, 2021 Let’s keep our fingers crossed. It’s just an added burden we don’t really need.

I also heard "infections are up" and "vaccination rate is low". They definitely want tourism back. Let's hope this works and is a benefit to all.
