The main reason for my card. Travel insurance. Had to use it once and it was easy. Mine is $90 a year. We cruise a lot each year so the $90 is well worth it. Plus all the perks. Still have CitiBanks card just to have a Master card the others are Visa. At one time Citi had free travel insurance. Now none at all.

The IHG card I mentioned has travel insurance in the way of $100 for late bag, $3000 for lost luggage, and $5000pp/$10,000 per trip for cancellations.  I've always assumed it is really hard to get these credit card insurances to pay. I'm glad to hear it was easy for you.
