It's the Little Things (Ways MSC Has Changed Their Experience)

These are tiny things to most people.  But the first item, fresh air coming in to all the staterooms caught my attention.  I've gotten deathly ill on cruises before and I've always been convinced it was some kind of bacteria coming out of the air conditioners.  Of course a fever and fatigue would ring all kinds of bells now, that  didn't ring when this happened to me (twice, and I won't say which cruise lines).  But when you spend 2 nights passed out in your stateroom with a fever you might as well have thrown a thousand dollars in cruise and entertainment right down the head.

Piping in fresh air may seem counterintuitive since you could be bringing in the air that someone near the vents coughed in to.  But this is one case in which I'll take my chances.  I'll opt for fresh sea air coming through my climate control grates over air that's been sitting over pans full of stagnant water in an enclosed HVAC system any day.
