Looking for hotels near the cruise ship terminal in Stockholm.

Which ship are you going on and when? Also define "near".

Your ship will likely berth at either Frihamnen or Stadsgården (Masthamnen).

Are you planning on staying in Stockholm at the conclusion of your cruise? If so, I would recommend staying at a hotel close to the historical city center rather than a hotel near Frihamnen. There aren't many hotels near Frihamnen & it would not be the most convenient area for sightseeing. One of my favorites is the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel & the location can't be beat IMHO.

What price range are you looking for?

If you want something more unusual there is Hotel Skeppsholmen

Other  then that, there is tons of "regular" hotels:

What is special about the Skeppsholmen?  I see it's on an island, so more of a retreat?

I'm looking for something where we can see some of Stockholm easily; our mobility is somewhat limited.  This would be post-cruise.  My husband's been to Sweden before but not spent time in Stockholm, and I've never been.

Skeppsholmen is an old naval yard which makes the environment quite special.

There is a bus stop for bus #65 (departs every about 20 minutes) close to the hotel.
There is also a ferry stop at Skeppsholmen but I think you need to alert the ferry that you want to come along.

If you want central central there are a few hotels around Kungsträdgården, like Hotel Kungsträdgården, Hotel Nobis, Berns, Grand Hotel, which is pretty much as central you can get. These are quite fancy hotels though and I don't know of your price preference.

Slightly further north of Kungsträdgården there are a whole bunch of hotels.

Most people on the dawn stay at Scandinavian grande central

Will second that.

It is so convenient to Arlanda express coming from airport if you exit using the rearmost platform elevator (just roll bags to building next door, dont even have to cross the street)

Make sure to book a "Superior" room rather than the standard room. Price difference is not much but the size difference is.

If one likes to take public transport then the Bus 1 to Frihamnen port is just across the hotel. But would strongly recommend taking Uber if dragging luggage as distance from Bus stop to pier luggage drop is 800 meters and no fun over rough asphalt especially when it is windy or rainy or just hot.
