Edge dining advice

I am considering going on the Edge end of August. Usually am an NCL passenger because if their solo program, and always have the option of not eating alone.

I see that Celebrity has fixed dining and an anytime dining sign up. Which is preferred. On fixed dining do they make an attempt to place some solo diners together.  If you do anytime dining is there the same consideration?

I also noticed on one of the current printouts that there was a solo lunch/meetup. Thought this was odd with it being a port day in Nassau.
I know that I can’t expect Celebrity to be like NCL, but for the most part I don’t like dining for dinner alone.
I have done Celebrity once but that was on the Summit with 11 other people. Want to try something different and want to do so soon. Not quite ready to book long term out for Europe yet since I want to see how long this damn bug persists to be around.

thanks in advance for any advice or info that I can use to make my decision.

I cruised Celebrity Solo and loved it.  I ended up with lots of friends along the way.  Cruising Solo I always pick anytime dining.  When you show up you can ask for the kind of table you like.  I always ask for a large table that way I have a better chance of having dinner with someone I enjoy their company.  Most cruises I end up meeting people and we end up going to dinner together.  The other option you have is get on the Cruise Critic board for that cruise and have some good discussions and see if you meet people you like.  You can always setup dinner with them.

Note:  None of the cruise lines do Solos like NCL.  The longer the cruise the more active the Cruise Critic Board seem to be.  My Artic cruise for next September is already to 64 pages and has 250 people on it.  I am setting up a Solo Lunch for the Solo people from Cruise Critic Board.

I ended up booking the cruise and went with Concierge class only because it was very little extra $$$. I picked anytime dining and hoping that if I want to do any specialties the Concierge can help me with that.

I have just gotten used to NCL having the solo meetups and either going with the planned group or meeting like  minded people who do not want dinner at 5:30.
