Calendar Days or Business Days For PEC Look Back???

Hello all - I will be, hopefully, purchasing my insurance next week.

 

While I Am beyond the 14 - 21 'day' period for 'Automatic' Pre-Existing coverage, there are a few policies which will provide coverage up through and until 48 hours of sailing with a look back period.

 

My question is, is the look back period calendar days or business days for this time frame?

Hi Bo1953,

 

The Pre-Existing Medical Condition Lookback Period is so many calendar days prior to the effective date. The effective date is the day after you buy a policy.

 

However, to make sure there's never a question at claim time, we tell everyone the Lookback Period is so many calendar days prior to the purchase date because I never want to get into an argument with an insurance company over something that can prevent a claim from being paid.

I hope you choose a good insurance provider. There a lot of scammers these days. Avoid purchasing it online. Better find their office or rely on some big insurance company to avoid refunding problems later
