Tour of Barcelona

We have one day and evening in Barcelona in April and would appreciate any suggestions for an afternoon tour (and what not to miss) with the evening free to walk around La Ramblas.   Does anyone have a tour company (with the tour you took) to recommend?    Thanks in advance.

On top of my do not miss list is La Sagrada and Parc Guell.  Using the HOHO bus we were able to do those plus a Gaudi House and Monjuic. We were there in the summer and were also able to catch the Magic Fountain after dinner on Las Ramblas. Taxis were also a help.

I also recommend Sagrada familia and Parc Guell. Spend plenty of time at both locations, go inside the cathedral. Use taxis to get there, they are plentiful and reasonably cheap. 

 

For one day don't try to cram too many sights in.

Good call.  

But better to book day/time in advance, together with access to the towers.  Previously there was a discount for a combined ticket, also there is a senior citizens discount.  Otherwise there’ll may be disappointment (fully booked) or a long wait if one just rocks up on the day.

Don’t forget to hire the audio guide, it will add greatly to your experience.

I highly recommend Spain Day Tours for tours in Barcelona (actually in any cruiseport in Spain).  We used them in 2019 and they were phenomenal.  In Barcelona we did a tour of the city including Parc Guell and a stop at Sagrada Familia.  They were able to get us Skip the Line tickets for Sagrada Familia.
