I would agree that some of the other daytime activities were missing, presumably because they were deemed to violate social distancing. No hairy chest competition, etc. I think the extensive number of trivia sessions also coincided with the fact that this was a December cruise out of a northern port, and the sea days to and from Baltimore aren't always conducive to outdoor/pool deck activities.

They probably could have done more karaoke and other types of indoor activities in some of the lounges during the day, but I never found myself bored.

Note: Karaoke requires "shared" microphones.....that may be an issue with the activity?

They had some karaoke in the Firebird Lounge, but I believe it was only one night. No daytime karaoke that I saw, but it could be an afternoon "filler" activity to make use of one of the other lounges.

Even if you don't gamble, don't miss your free cash! Based upon their tracking sheets, it looks like only around 25% of qualifying passengers have picked up their free cash so far. Don't miss your free money!

Absolutely. That $25 free play money quickly turned into $768, playing slots on the Breeze after Thanksgiving.

I'm glad you had some success. I won around $62 on the first sea day, but promptly gave it all back, plus another $150 or so over the next two days before I decided the slots on Legend weren't for me this cruise.

I do have to say that I'm disappointed in the disappearance of virtually all nickel and quarter slots, and the $1 slots moving from 3-line / $3 max bet to 5-line or 9-line max bets to play the bonus games. If I'm going to play in the casino, it is usually the quarter or $1 slots, or roulette or blackjack. The $5 and $9 max bets on the $1 machines puts a real gap between the penny slots and the $1 slots.

There have been some rumors going around in our cruise group on FB that two or three cabins tested positive for COVID after departing Half Moon Cay and were put into quarantine. I haven't seen confirmation of this, only second hand reports on the group.

One person also reported that they were visited by security and medical staff and requested to take a test after they remained in their cabin all day with the do not disturb sign out, reportedly because they had a minor ankle injury following one of the port calls. Security and the medical team were visiting them as a precautionary practice to make sure that they weren't attempting to self-quarantine due to symptoms without properly reporting them to the ship's medical staff. I'm glad to hear that they are being proactive with surveillance.

As of today, the CDC website still reports no cases onboard Carnival Legend. I'd be curious to know of anyone on the sailing has direct knowledge of positive cases onboard?

Can you confirm somewhere on Lido they have a late night snack from 11:30-1:00 - not just pizza

If so. what did they generally have

I can't say that I saw it, but I wasn't looking for it either. I did see a few plates with the dry/"crunchy" type of cookies that I recall the late night stations having in the past, but I guess in my mind they came from the deli station, which closed at 11:00.

On previous sailings, the late night station generally had hot dogs, grilled paninis (think ham & cheese), pasta bake, whole fruit (bananas), cookies and brownies. I seem to recall chicken tenders and maybe burgers at one point as well? None of it was very good. I'd try to hit the deli before 11:00 or go for a pizza over the late night station offerings.

I just got off the Legend today, and can confirm what he said above. The late night snacks were not anything to get excited about. The pizza is good, but there is always a line late night. If you want to get some, make sure to go right before the comedy or shows get out, otherwise, there will be a bigger wait

When everything in my town except Taco Bell and Waffle House is closed by 10:00 PM, I could really go for some Pizza Pirate right now.

This may be a silly question, not having been on the Legend before, but are any of the bars outdoors?  Or are they all indoors?

Red Frog rum bar, Blue Iguana tequilla bar and Serenity bar all come immediately to mind for outdoor bars.

Sparks is correct. Lido deck has two themed bars near the pools and a third bar in the Serenity area on the back of the ship. RedFrog Rum Bar is on the "smoking" side of the ship and is open early and late. I believe closing time was 11:00 PM or midnight?

Blue Iguana Tequila bar is on the opposite side and only open during peak hours, from late morning through about dinner time. I believe the Serenity bar had similar hours, although I never ordered a drink back there as it was the most crowded of the outer deck spaces.

There is also chairside service with roaming bartenders on the outer decks in the late morning through mid afternoon.

Thank you for the review, it was GREAT. I have a couple of quick questions:

1) Do you happen to have the Steakhouse or Captains Table menus?

2) Was there art sales on the ship? We love to enjoy the free champagne.

Thank you and have a great night.
