Snorkel near the tender docks?

I realize Georgetown is closed currently to cruise ships. However, in case it is open next spring, I'm looking for a decent place to snorkel near the docks. Several years ago, we walked right from the dock, about 3 blocks, just before reaching a dive shop, and  on our right  there was a ladder  into the water and tons of brightly colored fish to see.  Anyone know if that is still available? Is there decent snorkeling anywhere else in "town"?

No one will know what has survived and what is still open this spring until much closer to that date. The island is just beginning to open up a tiny bit to land-based tourists, albeit reluctantly on the part of many locals, and the earliest ship scheduled for the very end of December is meeting with some public resistance. It will be a while before anything there is even remotely approaching normal, so until then there’s really no way of predicting, IMO.
