dcbiker97 Posted December 14, 2021 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2021 We will hopefully be visiting New Zealand inNovember 2022. The ports include Picton, Napier, Christchurch, and Auckland. I’d like to visit one wine region and would like opinions on which of these stops you would recommend as a launching point to a day visit to several wineries. Recommendations for off the beaten track wineries are also welcomed! Thanks.
Rare onlyslightlymad Posted December 15, 2021 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2021 Of those four ports, I would recommend Napier as the best wine region. There are some great vineyards in that region (Hawke's Bay) and lots of tours. Also, the weather is generally good and the town is pretty.

Personally, I’d pick Picton for the Sauvignon Blanc. There we used Bubbly Grape for tours.
