ya know, the funny thing is that I have always lived my life this way - no money? no product! Never understood how people could get into such deep debt (other than the biggies - house, college, major medical emergencies [but that's why you get health insurance])

I was raised with the knowledge that credit cards are to be paid at the end of the month in full. Makes it easy for me to get the things I really need, not just the things I might want sorta.

Yes, I know that some people make less than others and that's why they go into debt, but I've lived on my sole salary from a not-for-profit organization and even lived without a job for months at a time and managed to keep my budget in check.....'course, I don't go on too many expensive trips, my car is 7 years old and will last me another 4 years at least, don't have fancy cameras or outrageously expensive sneaks and clothes, my cell phone is a pay as you go, Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts/etc are a treat, not a habit . . .

it's easy to stay outa debt if you know where your money is going!
