Yacht club boarding at port canaveral

I’m being optimistic that we will sail on the meraviglia on Jan 2.  Can anyone tell me about boarding process at canveral?    If we arrive early, how big a problem will it be?   Our boarding time is 3 pm but we plan to arrive at noon.  Worst case, we drop off our luggage and go hang o

at one of the bars at the port.

Ignor your boarding time if you are YC.

Pull up to the white YC tent, drop off your bags. Park, walk back there and they will escort you thru the process of getting on and it should include them walking you onto the ship straight to your cabin.

If you want to go to a bar, there are several that overlook the port. Gators, Grills, fishlips and more. I am a local.

Near the water. Across the parking lot from boarding area.  When I get there the day before sailing they are a fun place to watch ships leave

They are not across the parking lot from the terminal MSC uses. You would really have to have ride there as you have go back out across the drawbridge to the other side of the channel. They are a lot of fun though.

Thank you for the helpful information.  I just got a text from MSC reminding me about the need for a negative covid test, and it lists our boarding time as 12:30 to 1 pm, so we should be fine!

You will not even be slowed down by the the pier staff supporting YC guests if you are there at 10:00.  😀. Butlers do not greet you at the white tent under the COVID protocols.  It will be ‘suited’ pier staff.  You will meet the butlers and YC Club Director in the YC section of the terminal.  Get aboard as early as you can.  While I spend significant time and money at the Port Canaveral restaurants and bars, no need for you to.  Just wave at them as you depart.  My favorite is Gator’s Dockside, right next to the seafood market.

Leaving tomorrow on Divina and also YC. Where is the tent located since I am coming in on a shuttle bus. I know the Canaveral terminal is CT110, but is the YC tent near the regular drop off place for bags, near front door of terminal or somewhere else?

Your shuttle will drop you off right at the entrance to the terminal. There will be an escalator up to the entrance. The YC tent will be at the bottom of the escalator. Enjoy!
