Corby114 Posted January 25, 2022 #26 Share Posted January 25, 2022 On Monday January 10th I was on the Nieuw Statendam which stopped at Turks and Caicos on it’s scheduled day The ship was on it’s way back to Port Everglades with it last scheduled stop at Half Moon Cay. At Turks and Caicos the Emerald Princess was on its first stop on it’s ten day voyage to the Southern Caribbean and it’s partial transit of the Panama Canal. vacruisin Posted January 25, 2022 #27 Share Posted January 25, 2022 Stopping in Grand Turk depends on the amount of COVID cases onboard when the ship is approaching the port. Just got off a back to back on the Magic Sunday and Grand Turk was on both itineraries. On the first leg (6-day) we were not allowed to dock due to too many COVID cases onboard. On the second leg (8-day) we docked there and had a great time. We were the only ship in port so it was great! I do not know what is the threshold of magical percentage of COVID cases needed for them to deny docking.
wardwhitty Posted January 25, 2022 #28 Share Posted January 25, 2022 We were on the Freedom 1/9 to 1/15 and docked at Grand Turk. Our weather was a little rainy but it was great to get off the ship , have a few drinks at Jack's and spend a little time at Margaritaville.
