LB_NJ Posted January 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2022 According to the Bermuda government web site: "" After cruise departure: All cruise passengers must take a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival into Bermuda. Results will be emailed to passengers. Upon receipt of a negative arrival test result, cruise passengers will be allowed to disembark in Bermuda." Also, according to the web site it is possible to get expedited arrival testing for $200 (gets you results in under 4 hours). Most cruises only have two or three days in Bermuda as it is. 1025cruise Posted January 14, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2022 At this point, it's too early to speculate what the requirements will be for Bermuda this year.

All the ships that cruised to Bermuda in 2021 were able to disembark their passengers. What you're not being told by the Bermuda government's website is that the cruise lines made special arrangements with Bermuda's government to have the testing carried out before actual arrival. In the case of passengers on Crystal, which cruised to Bermuda numerous times in 2021 from both NY and Boston the test swabs were taken by Bermudian health officials before the ship reached Bermuda and were then taken ashore for the testing as the ship approached . The passengers who tested negative were then able to disembark not long after the ship docked. In the case of passengers on NCL, which had a much bigger ship than Crystal's cruising to Bermuda, the government permitted the sample swabs to be taken in NY before passengers boarded . the tests were then conducted by an outside lab while the ship was en route and passengers whose tests were negative were allowed to disembark when the ship docked. As @1025cruise said, it's too early to speculate about future requirements. Edited January 14, 2022 by njhorseman
