kj_connections Posted January 26, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2022 Does RCCL offer onboard PCR testing for travelers who need it to return home? If so what is the cost? I am considering the allure if that matters (not sure if all ships have COVID testing)

relaxlynn Posted January 26, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2022 I wonder if Royal will have a testing site at the terminal in Southampton. We are booked on the Anthem transatlantic this May from Cape Liberty to Southampton…Unfortunately we have to fly back to the US the day we disembark. kimlet Posted January 27, 2022 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2022 For Sailings Departing On or After February 1, 2022 Optional testing to satisfy your International Re-Entry Testing requirement is offered just outside the terminal after you disembark the ship, through our test provider partners. The cost of testing is the responsibility of the guest, and varies depending on the port, with antigen tests starting at $99 and PCR tests starting at $130. Either test is “swab and go,” and results will be emailed to you within an hour after testing. Once onboard, you will receive further guidance on how to schedule a test appointment. You can also make your own arrangements with test providers at the airport, or in the area of the port, such as local pharmacies or clinics. I wonder if this will work, can maybe keep flight home or leave next day.

Royal haven’t announced protocols for European ports yet as it’s still three months until they sail there and a lot could change in the meantime. But I expect they will make some arrangement for testing to be available when you arrive in Southampton - or even on board. If all else fails there are plenty of places in Southampton or at the airport that’ll offer walk-up rapid antigen tests (known as lateral flow tests in the UK) for a fee. Wicked Wanda Posted August 14, 2022 #7 Share Posted August 14, 2022 If you do back to back cruises do you have to do two pct tests?
