Rare onlyslightlymad Posted February 3, 2022 Author #51 Share Posted February 3, 2022 Looks like my cruise will probably go (probably). NZ open to Aussies in July, others in October. No mention of the maritime border yet. I would imagine October....

Seriously thinking of the GBR trip with CE. Cheers Craig Coral Expeditions is an excellent operator. Depending on the itinerary, a scuba diving half-hour lesson is included free. Subsequent dives are very reasonably priced too, around $100. Meals are excellent, very good quality. Everyone dines at the same time. Lunch and dinner choices are made at breakfast so everything runs smoothly. All the crew are wonderful, from housekeeping and deckies, to the expedition team. The Xplorer boats are the major point of difference to other expedition ships. They take passengers on the longer trips so there is a roof over your head to protect from the sun. Passengers can dive, swim and snorkel off these, and transfer to zodiacs if applicable. The cabins are spacious and well appointed. There are some GBR extra trips this month because of the WA border closure. As the one I was supposed to be on now was cancelled, I have rebooked Coral Discoverer for a round-trip out of Broome in May instead.
