FCC question/advice

Recommended Posts

Our cruise was cancelled end of January and now booked for April - we did take the FCC option which came through - however on the new sailing we booked the closest category to what we had on original sailing and it priced higher so thought we would be okay - however when the FCC was applied cannot use them towards the taxes or insurance and thus we still have about $100 each that will be given back again in the form of another future cruise credit - can only use FCC towards the cruise fare - and since no higher categories available other than suites that is not an option - I never saw all these restrictions when FCC were discussed.

Has anyone had any help with getting it converted to onboard credit at least - or any other suggestions other than if we do not book within the year - we are out that money?   Thank you and appreciate your help and advice

Rcl has never converted fcc to obc that I've heard of or allowed you to use it toward taxes and fees. No change.

Try using it up .. you say you cant upgrade. Book a cheapie cruise?

FCC restrictions have been discussed for the past two years. For the past two years, the recommendation from many was to take the refund at every opportunity. Take the excess FCC and hope you can either use it on a future sailing within its limits or RCI extends those limits.
