miXterOB Posted February 25, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2022 Hi My PIC and I just booked an 8 day on the Odyssey to Coco Key, Aruba and Curacao out of Lauderdale on 3/12. As I'm 69 and she's 71, we'd like to get quotes on coverage. Any guidance ?

Hi miXterOB, If you want specific advice that pertains just to you, neither CruiseCritic nor myself want you to put any personally identifiable or private information in a public forum. You may email me at steve@tripinsurancestore.com or call me at 1-888-407-3854 and I will help you. If not, may I get this info? - What are your travel dates? - What's your full per person prepaid non-refundable trip cost (not an average)? - When did you pay the first payment on your trip? - Was any of your deposit paid with Future Travel or Cruise Credits that represented money you had paid on a trip that was cancelled or interrupted due to Covid? - Do either of you, any traveling companions or your non-traveling family members, have or recently had any medical conditions, or had any medication changes for a medical condition, that could worsen and, in turn, cause you to cancel or interrupt your trip? Or that could cause you to seek treatment on your trip? Steve Dasseos

More reliable than me? And, was there something about my response that you didn't like? Of course, you're free to get insurance anywhere you want, but I would appreciate your honest feedback. suehal Posted February 28, 2022 #6 Share Posted February 28, 2022 Hi Steve, I have a cruise booked Aug 31-Sept 9 to Norwegian Fjords. We leave out of Amsterdam. We put down 500 deposit a year ago, and final payment is June 2. I haven't booked airfare yet. What should I do for insurance?

suehal Posted March 1, 2022 #8 Share Posted March 1, 2022 (edited) Hi Steve, our cruise will be 3400 for the two of us total . So far only 500 deposit has been paid. We didn't use cruise credits, and no medical conditions.. We're also self employed. We haven't booked airfare yet. Thank you:) Edited March 1, 2022 by suehal

Thank you:) Hi suehal, Thanks for this info. > no medical conditions I want to clarify your answer because many people don't realize that the pre-existing medical condition exclusion also includes your non-traveling family members. For example, if one of your parents, children, siblings, in-laws, etc, who are staying home have some medical condition that worsened, would it affect your trip? I forgot to ask you what your current ages are. Also, if you didn't take your trip, would you re-use your flights for another trip? And my adult children don't either. I'm unaware of my in-laws medical conditions. I'm 57 and my husband is 51. I would prefer getting money refunded rather than credit for airfare, but know that depends on the carrier Thank you for your help!
