warrington Posted March 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2022 Hi, We have been considering booking an obstructed view cabin on Emerald deck on the Emerald Princess. Does anyone have any experience of these cabins? Many thanks.
Britter16 Posted March 4, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2022 There is a web site that shows what your view will be from most rooms. They are a good value but some views are directly into a lifeboat.

Rare patrickmoran Posted March 5, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2022 These are my go to cabins when booking the Emerald, Ruby or Crown (all sister sisters. If you look at the deck plans you will see there are cabins labeled as obstructed that have no obstruction in forward or aft (E102-118, E101-119, E630-702, and E631-E701). I usually try to book one of the aft cabins. Any of the obstructed oceanview gives you more room (17 sq ft) than an inside cabin at a reasonable cost difference. Plus the layout is better which gives more usable space. (This does not apply to any that are quad cabins) Bathrooms are the same for all cabins until you book a minisuite or suite. We have been in E416 and E415. Both are very nearly unobstructed. There are photos from E415 in post #336 in the cabin review thread
StrawberryHill Posted March 5, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2022 These are also our go to cabins when booking a cruise just to get away and dont have any real sightseeing ambitions. Some times you have to look around a post or a lifeboat. The cost savings is well worth it and you still get a balcony and a door that opens to get fresh air and to hear the ship moving at night. Rare patrickmoran Posted March 5, 2022 #7 Share Posted March 5, 2022 I think you are referring to the obstructed balcony cabins on the Royal-class ships. Also great values.
