How to check for lower fares

Hello all, we are booked for a cruise in Feb 23.  I am wondering what the best way to check for price drops are?  I booked by calling Carnival direct as that is my preferred method.  I know that I can "book" another cruise to see if the price when up or down but I am looking for other ways to do this as we have never really checked into lower prices because we alway book so far out... most times well over a year, so we kinda forget about the cruise until a few weeks before the final payment is due.  Thanks

Just do mock bookings of your cruise each week and check the price is really all you can do. I mean, what else can you expect? They wont tell you directly that's for sure.

Years ago I remember being able to create a price alert off a site not affiliated with Carnival to alert me of price drops/fares for my cruising date.  

 

I'm sure if you google something to that affect you may be able to find something close to what you're looking for to alert you so you're not doing a mock booking every other day.

Yes..go in every couple says to do a booking.

 

We just had our spa suite drop $1800..cha ching..

Go to https://www.cruisewatch.com/  You can setup alerts to be notified if prices decrease or increase.

I think I always used ***** but can't find it now. Did it shut down? There was a cost to use it but it was cheap like $1.00. I saved thousands over the years so well worth it.

Yes that was it. I guess it shut down because of no cruises.

I have it setup on cruisewatch.  We will see if it notifies me.  When I set it up, I verified the price on the cruisewatch site was the same as on carnivals site. Fingers crossed the price goes down!
