Recommendations for Transport and Hotels - Athens

4 of us traveling in August arriving in Athens the day before we sail Would like any recommendations for transport that will take 4 people plus luggage. Also Hotels near the Parthenon please.

I used www.welcompickups.com from Athens airport to hotel and hotel to port.  Clean cars, friendly, on time.  

 

I stayed at Athens Gate hotel.  There was a restaurant and the Hop On Hop Off bus was a short walk away.  Hotel was recommended on Cruise Critic.

Given COVID my recommendation is a few years old, but we've used this private car service  3 times.  

Really great service and a very Greek experience  (no surprise).

George's taxi mentioned above is great. Plenty of hotels near the Acropolis. It all depends on what you want to spend. Athens is always a splurge for us so we stay at the Grand Bertagne.

Just did an overnight in Athens before a cruise.  We chose to take the metro to our hotel.  We stayed at the Adonis hotel which was within walking distance of the Acropolis and had an amazing view from their upper floor bar/breakfast area.  For our trip to the cruise port we took a taxi which cost 20 euro.
