tk2fast Posted May 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2022 Simple question. Have not cruised for long time and have the Sky scheduled with a 10am flight scheduled after disembarkation. Going from Port Everglades to Fort Lauterdale airport... will I make it in time? Are taxis reliable or what is best way to go. Than you!

Are taxis reliable or what is best way to go. Than you! Airport is not far from cruise terminal. Taxi,Lyft,Uber all reliable. Is your ship scheduled for 7 am arrival? Do a walk off ( you do not set your bags outside in the hallway the night before, you carry them off yourself in the morning so if you can’t do that ,then that’s not an option for you ) & head to airport. Now that’s if all goes according to plan with “ things “ . Do you have tsa precheck for airport security , do you have global entry for the port? So many factors will determine if you make a 10 am flight, some out of your control. The earlier flights always seem to be cheaper. Hope all goes well. skynight Posted May 15, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 15, 2022 If you do early walk off wheeling all your luggage you should be able to be at the airport by 8:00am or shortly after. You can not make it if you place your luggage outside the cabin at night and pick it up in the terminal the next morning. Like post no. 2 mentions TSA pre-check and global entry will help speed things along. Taxis are all lined up ready to go. No delay there. Another option. Once on board ask at passenger services if they have EZ Check for your airline. If yes, Princess charges a small fee, maybe $25, for this service plus any airline baggage charges. Your baggage is collected placed on a truck and delivered to the airline. You do not see it again until your final destination. Passenger Services will have all the details. tk2fast Posted May 15, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted May 15, 2022 Getting the global entry sounds like a real process, and we live in a very small town and would have to travel over a hundred plus miles for an interview. Ugh. Is it really worth it? How long does it take to get through customs without it?
