Jj343434jj Posted May 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2022 I just booked a cruise, it was after final payment date so I had to pay in full. I then went to the rewards on my card and redeemed the $500 cruise discount after putting in my cruise information. My question is, will Royal just credit my card for the $500 since I had to pay in full?
curlyhaired Posted June 3, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2022 Not sure but if you put the $500 credit on your sea pass card, you can go to the casino and take the money off your sea pass card (or you could in the past). Recently folks have said that you can load the money from your card onto a slot machine and then cash out and take the ticket to the cashier and get the money. Another way might be to go to the cashier and ask for the money off your card minus a certain percentage. Then you can take the money home and use it to pay your credit card. Good Luck. (Double points) So you may have a negative balance for a while.
Coralc Posted June 3, 2022 #4 Share Posted June 3, 2022 Hopefully they will credit it back to your card. I was curious, it states this under terms & conditions: If you are booking directly through Royal Caribbean, you must redeem your MyCruise Reward prior to making your final payment for the cruise vacation. AspiringCindy Posted June 3, 2022 #5 Share Posted June 3, 2022 THey will most likely issue $500 onboard credit. That's what happened to me a few years back.
Junkhouse Posted June 3, 2022 #6 Share Posted June 3, 2022 We use ours for onboard credit most of the time. We also have a United card and they are doing up to $1 for 7 miles for booking a cruise.
Jj343434jj Posted June 21, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted June 21, 2022 They ended up just crediting $500 to my bank account. Thanks everyone for the input.
