Has anyone stayed in balcony cabin 1838 , deck 12 on Voyager of the Seas? How is the location / room? Is the door to outside walking track right next to the room?

The door is 30 or 40 feet from the track. Check around 4:20

I have this cabin booked on the 9/18/23 sailing. Love the location but would really like to hear your feedback! I am hoping to feel the ocean a bit more being that high and forward but I know that is all dependent on the weather!

Yes, the door to the outside walking track is right next to the room.  However, it is the single door with the port hole window not the automatic sliding door.  The automatic sliding door is adjacent to the starboard elevators.  (You can touch both your cabin door and the single door standing outside your cabin door).  We enjoyed the location.  Pop out that door, down the walking track to the aft of the ship, down one level on the stairs and you are at the Windjammer.  Easy access to the Solarium also.  Solarium closed at 8pm so noise was not an issue while sleeping.  Room 1838 is close to the elevators to pop down to entertainment venues.  Take the elevators to Deck 5 and cross the Promenade to Main Dining Rooms.  Deck 4 is an outside route from the forward elevators to the Main Dining Rooms.

We did not feel the ocean, as far as swaying with the waves, any more than the lower levels.  We could hear the ocean very well from the balcony.

That is awesome, I hope you had a wonderful time!

Since you’re here I do have a couple of other questions.

1. Did you pay for Starlink? If so how was the bandwidth in the stateroom?

2. Overall was the ship clean? Food and entertainment acceptable?

I appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Did not pay for Starlink.  The WiFi was adequate everywhere except for the balcony when using the Royal App.  WiFi was spotty on the balcony.

Yes, the ship was very clean.  The food was really good, but I would not say outstanding.  I do think that the portions were smaller than 2018.  The entertainment was good.  We attended the show every evening and enjoyed the shows.  Again, not outstanding but enjoyable.  We also enjoyed the game show entertainment in the Star Lounge.
