EllieinNJ Posted June 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2022 I have a cruise in September and final payment is made. Now my doctor wants to schedule some surgery during that time. Will NCL let me change the date to the week before without penalty if I book a more expensive cabin?
MeHeartCruising Posted June 18, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2022 There is no NCL policy that automatically permits this. You will need to call them and discuss it with them and try to persuade someone to do this for you. In their computer systems, it is likely a cancellation and rebooking, which would have penalties for the cancellation and new pricing for the new cruise.
MsTabbyKats Posted June 18, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2022 Do you have insurance that would cover this? Since the surgery isn't until Sept it sounds like "not an emergency" (although must feel like an emergency to you) and was scheduled for "the first available date". I'd consult with the doctor and see if it could be put off for a week if NCL doesn't cooperate.
