Tour for Rhodes

I am looking for suggestions for a half day to 6 hour tour out of Rhodes in October.  I have checked several companies that either are full or not available.  I even received a quote from Shore Excursions for a private tour for 6-8 people, but it was $255 per person which is much too expensive.  I would like to get to Kallithea Springs.

Which ship are you on? The only shore excursion that was worthwhile from NCL is that one Rhodes... Traditions of Rhodes & Home Visit  , excellent tour , we stopped at the beach and had complimentary coffee and snack, family pottery business where the potters are carving and show you exactly how their art form makes beautiful pottery .  3-1/2 hours... we had a $50 shore excursion and 10% off being platinum... had extra time afterwards to explore the walled city.  We had a small group of around 25 people.. this was  in April

I did a lot of research for each port and almost booked with this one, cannot vouch for it..  you'll need to search for reviews

The excursion to Lindos is very interesting and it gets you to see the island.  I highly recommend walking the old town either by yourself or with a walking tour.  It is a fascinating and beautiful place.

Not a tour but an option:

The historic Rhodos town is right next to the cruis port. There you need to walk anyway, thus you could see as many or as few of the sights, alleys, churches, palaces and museums as you like on your own.

Once you have passed through the ancient part you get to a large square where you also find most busstops. There is a direct bus to Kallithea Springs, running every 30 minutes.
