Splitting a cruise

Hi everyone

i have a question regarding my upcoming MSC Seashore Caribbean cruise in October. It is booked as a single 15 night cruise/sailing, however I see on the website that you can also book either the first eight nights as a single sailing or the second 7 nights (east and west Caribbean). My query is, we need to shorten our overall USA holiday (from Australia) and am wondering if anyone knows if i can cancel the second week of the cruise and make it just the first half (with credit or refund for the second week) or if I need to completely cancel and rebook (which means I need to pay upfront again without yet having any refund or cruise credit that may be owing).

I’m still waiting to hear back from MSC, just curious if anyone has had experience with this.

thanks!
