1 BR Grand Suite on Brilliance (Greek Isles, August, '22) questions

Recommended Posts

We got our royal up to a one bedroom Grand Suite for our 8/28 cruise on Brilliance. (Woohoo!!!)

We're Diamond +, so get those perks, and originally booked a JS, so we should get our double points (which should be doubled again.. hoping that works out).

Questions :

-We didn't buy a drink package, but I did order a 24 pack of water for the room (for on the ship and in port). Is this still necessary?

-My understanding is that we will get our diamond drinks PLUS have a happy hour in the suite/concierge lounge. Is this correct?

-Are there any other suite amenities that might impact how we plan for the cruise? (Ex: this is part of a three week Europe trip, so we'll be doing laundry somewhere. Also, if there are specialty dining benefits, that could impact the purchase of a dining package.)

Thank you! We're so excited!

If you wanted the water before, I would imagine you still would want the water.  I honestly don't recall any bottled water available in the Brilliance SL, but it has been a little while.

Yes, you get the D+ drink vouchers, and they won't count against the drinks you get at the SL happy hour (they would in the diamond lounge, though).

There aren't any other freebies that go with the suite other than access to the concierge (and that can be very helpful).

If you have any tender ports (Such as Santorini), the Concierge can escort you off the ship to an early tender.  We did this and were able to get up the tram before the big crowds.

You'll get an email from the concierge sometime during the week before you sail and you can reply with any preferred specialty dining reservations you want to make in advance.  Also, anything that you might normally need to see Guest Services about, the concierge can handle for you.  If there are any sold-out excursions or activities you want to enjoy, let the concierge know.  They can't create spots that don't exist, but cancellations are always give first to the concierge so that any suite guests on the "waitlist" can be given first dibs.

We loved our 12 day Mediterranean cruise on brilliance 6 years ago , we had grand suite 1600 corner aft. Concierge was very helpful, you also get breakfast in specialty restaurant every morning. We are also Diamond plus, not sure but 6 years ago there was a concierge lounge not a suite lounge, it may be a suite lounge now.

It was still a concierge lounge as of the end of May!
