MSC Website - Divina leaving same day for two cruises?

I was searching for cruises out of Miami and I noticed the Divina is scheduled to sail the same day but for two separate cruises? Is this a glitch on the website?

Note that the first 10 nights of the 14 nights is the same itinerary. MSC sells back to back cruises as one booking sometimes. They also may have embarkation at ports that are otherwise in the middle of another cruise itinerary.

We’re actually doing that 14 day Divina cruise but we cruise on Dec 30th. 
We were wondering how do they handle those of us staying on for another 4 nights when we get back to Miami on Day 10?  
Do we all have to go through immigration if we want to just get off for a few hours in Miami? Do they clear the entire ship? 
 

Our first MSC cruise in the Mediterranean was a bunch of all different length itineraries combined but we were able to get on and off at each port without having to go through customs. Not sure how it works for US cruise departures.

Yes, we had to go through Immigration when we did 7+7 nighter.  We went as a group, were cleared, and then could go right back onto the ship or into Miami; our choice.

Yes, the US requires everybody to go through immigration. Sometimes this takes many hours. Sometimes its no problem timewise. Whatever the reason may be.

So even though it’s sold as a 14 day cruise and not a 7 + 7 back to back they still clear the ship. Ugh hoping it’s not a full ship.

At least you will not have to do a Covid test between cruise segments. We had to do this on ours.  It took us 3 hours to go through the off and on process. Boarding was delayed because a family overslept and had to be called to get off ship. They have to zero out before they let us back on.

 

Have a great cruise. We are going for the 12 day in October. Cannot wait to get back on a ship. 🥂🛳

Re the speed of the process, we figured out afterwards that what made it long was that a number of passengers walked in a back door of the lounge where we were to meet, and did not check in with the crew at the door.  So we waited, and waited, for all pax to show up (kind of like muster drill attendance).  So if you do it, be sure to check in!
