Regent Hotel in Barcelona

Does anyone have recent experience or knowledge of which pre cruise hotel Regent uses in Barcelona. Thanks for any help.

We are staying at the Hotel Sofia Barcelona on Tuesday. It's a Hyatt. We booked it through Regent.

Regent scheduled us to stay at Le Meridien Barcelona next Tuesday.  In June we were at the Majestic Hotel & Spa.  It seems Regent moves the chosen hotels around very frequently, probably based on the price they are able to negotiate.

We enjoyed Le Meridien in June.

Stayed at the Sofia in July.  Great buffet breakfast.  Really annoying motion sensitive lights in bedside table and bathroom.   If you roll over and toss the blanket off the edge of the bed the light goes on😱. Other than that a nice hotel in a pretty nice neighborhood. Lots of little restaurants nearby if you like to walk about.

October 30-31, 2021.  (Prior to Explorer TA, Barcelona-Miami)  

 

Original designated hotel was Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos.  About a month-out, that was changed to Majestic Hotel & Spa.  Just-fine with us.  Nice location.  Large room.  Again, things change, sometimes on short notice.

We were recently at the Majestic Hotel.  Would definitely stay there again.  Great location, staff and rooms and suite!

Even for the guests on the same voyage, they can be assigned to different hotels. Sometimes I don't think the same hotel can accommodate all the concierge and penthouse guests. Regent may need to look for a 2nd or even 3rd choice.

 

If you book early, Regent may assign you to Hotel A. Your friends who book later will probably be assigned to Hotel B. If you want to be in the same hotel with your friends, you can try asking Regent to change but of course this depends on availability (or if Regent can swap it with other guests).
