Just don't give up it may take some time, suggest you record everything as you will have no records on the Tui website.

Sent in my claim , twice now , on TUI web page , it says you get an automated reply, but non received, so far !

Just been told , that the claim as been rejected , because of a medical emergency.

9.5 hour delay on a 2.5 hour flight ?
The plane was ready to go at 8pm , but the pilots , legally couldnt make the flight back from Palma to Aberdeen, after dropping us off  , so it was sent to Aberdeen and we were left to wait .

travel insurance , is only going to cover , for expenses, incurred a5 the airport, up too £40

Now that you have a rejection from them you can contact the CAA to check if you have a claim, in any case the airline is responsible for providing sustenance whilst delayed at the airport not your insurance. Its well worth pursuing a claim, I believe its £350 each well it was for us. Good luck 🤞
