Hi, I am confused. When do you load your info onto madallion? Is it before cruise and then do you get it at the dock before you go ,already loaded with the info or do you do it at the dock or on board? Thanks snag

You should load your info before the cruise if you can This will make embarkation faster. If you can't do that, you can turn up at the terminal and do more at check-in. Princess reps have said it can be done that way.

The medallion itself is just an identifying device, similar to an Apple air-tag, which communicates your electronic id to the ship's computers through the MedallionNet. This is picked up by your cabin door, waiters devices, and anything else that needs to know who you are.

All the info you provide pre-cruise goes to the Princess computers and the relevant info for your cruise is uploaded to the ship's computers.

The Medallion App allows you to enter your pre-cruise stuff and once onboard allows you to connect to various functions, like ordering drinks or room service.

DL and set up the app any time after booking, and you can set up a profile, and you can do all of your check-in steps and then choose your boarding time 60 days from sailing. You can also reserve your preferred dining times ahead of those doing it after boarding.

Once aboard, all you need to do is to connect to it to use the features.
