MSC UPGRADE Bidding Process

Hello Group, I am a SOLO Traveler and received an upgrade bidding chance on my upcoming Cruise In October. Question as a SOLO cruiser has anyone bid on a upgrade and won their price, as a SOLO Cruiser? What did you pay a double price or single price? MSC is confusing on this subject. Any kind Reponses   would be greatly apricated, 🙂

I know on other lines you’d pay double.    
I didn’t know MCS did bids.   I’m new to msc taking my first cruise in Jan.

You pay double.  I just got an upgrade offer for an upcoming solo cruise.  It would cost more even at the minimum bid to upgrade than to change cabins and pay the difference outright.

 

Definitely NOT recommended for solos.
