Horizon - earliest check in time?

Recommended Posts

We booked our first suite on the Horizon and would like to make the most of the priority check in and boarding.

The plan is to reserve a shuttle service from our hotel to the port (party of 5 with about 8 bags, so no uber/lyft).  Therefore, we need to know the earliest we would be allowed into the terminal so we can make our shuttle reservation.

Thanks!

Typically around 10 am.    It's not critical for you since you'll have early boarding anyway, but you should be able to get inside at around 10 am.

Thanks. If all is going smoothly, what time does boarding generally start?

I've seen it as early as, well, just after 10 am, and as late as 12 noon...but THAT was due to an unavoidable delay involving the previous cruise.   I expect it to start between 10:30 and 11 and if I'm pleasantly surprised, so much the better.

A bit off topic and I apologize.   Did you happen to see any giant chess onboard the Horizon?

Yes I did!   And I made a mental note as to where it was located...and I've forgotten where it was. 😮    But there IS a giant chess-set.

Thank you! 😁  I've been searching photos in everyone's reviews in hopes of seeing one.  I figured while they might have tables for chess, they might NOT have the pieces so I'll bring mine just in case!

This was a picture of it on the Vista, which has the same floor plan as the Horizon.  Hope it helps!
