Los Angeles Disembarkation

I realize the forum name is West Coast Departures... however I can't find a West Coast Arrivals forum; so you have my question here.

What type of services should I expect to find upon disembarkation day of my cruise.

Will there be ample Uber or `car services drivers close by?
Is there a Porter service which will take my bags to the airport and check them for my flight?

My ship is the only cruise ship on the calendar that particular day.

What recommendations or items should I know ahead of time??

Uber might or might not have lots of availability. There are plenty of taxis.

 

There are no porters for the airports because the airports are all a long ways away.

 

Which ship is it? We live locally so we prefer getting off as late as possible to avoid crowds.

There will  porters to take your luggage to your ground transportation. No airport service available. Taxis will be available, Uber requires a phone call as will car services.

It would depend on how many people are using X transfers. I would guess if they did, it might be to LAX only, since the majority fly in there. I'd say no shuttles to SNA, maybe a transfer to LGB.

We were on the first Celebrity Solstice Mexico cruise in October.  Shore excursions sold both a direct shuttle to LAX and also a tour which ended with drop off at LAX for those with flights later in the day.  We didn't use either so I have no idea regarding the costs.

 We RSVP'ed an UBER the day before we arrived.  Good think we did as we walked right off to our UBER waiting.  Several other people were still waiting (20 min) or hadn't even gotten a confirmation that a driver had taken the fare.

Do you remember how much the fare was? What day of the week?

We didn't go to LAX, but you can get a quote off the UBER app I think 30 days in advance.  We disembarked on a Thursday and only the Navigator OTS in port.  Also, use a porter inside the terminal.  They get to go to a different CBP lane, so much faster than doing the regular line.
