Refund of unused refundable OBC

How does Royal handle this?  Do they send you a check, or credit it to your credit card?

Go to the casino at end of cruise and cash out whatever you have left of OBC…refundable and non. Wouldn’t trust Royal to refund in a timely matter.

Thanks for the info.  We disembarked yesterday so casino is not an option.  We still have not received the emailed final statement.  We have a paper preliminary statement, but there were a couple of charges the last night that we verified on the TV.  

 

It should not be a big deal to issue a credit on the cruise credit card.

We just got off the ship on Saturday and we received a refund for our unused refundable credit to my credit card on file yesterday. Very quick.

We've also received a quick refund to the credit card we used for our account.  We've only had unused refundable OBC left twice, but both times we received the refund within a week.

For the 2 cruises we sailed on the Jewel in October both sailings we went to Guest Services the day prior to disembarkation they asked, back to original payment or cash. We took cash both times, one had $18 of nonrefundable left so that just went to our room steward by filling out a form and listing him personally and the amount.

FYI - our card was credited this morning, so the refund was quite efficient.

 

We never received the emailed final statement, but the refund amount was the same as shown on the stateroom TV prior to departure.

At the end of my cruise in May, Ovation, Alaska, I had over $400.00 unused OBC and went to Guest Services and they paid me in cash.
