mimito4 Posted November 19, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2022 I thought I read that one could order a bottle of liquor and mixes for the room, but I don’t see that anywhere. Can anyone help? We are cruising on Celebration Dec 11.
SDPadreFan Posted November 19, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2022 That benefit has been removed. Whether it is permanent or a temporary measure until Carnival pulls out of its post COVID financial hole leaves to be seen.

There had been an uptick in problems associated with over consumption. Had nothing to do with $. John said it actually made money. 1 1

It's interesting that they are concerned with over consumption, yet if you are on an Elite cruise, they will still give you two bottles of alcohol in the room in addition to drinks everywhere on the ship for you and a guest. Maybe they assume all gamblers can handle their liquor better than non-gamblers?🤔

But remember, John Heald said ending bottles of liquor and mixes for the room is not about making more money, it's all about preventing over consumption. So, they wouldn't be giving more liquor to casino guests just so the casino can make more money. That would just contradict what he said, wouldn't it? 🤔

MichiganFisherman Posted November 19, 2022 #9 Share Posted November 19, 2022 They should only implement that rule for booze cruises 5 days or less which draw the unruly and undesirables that can't behave at a funeral let alone on a cruise. 3
