Allure sailing this Sun 11/27 boarding an hour late

We board the Allure this Sunday 11/27 and just got an email saying to arrive an hour after your scheduled boarding time to allow for additional time to complete the debark process for the current sailing.  Just wondering if they are still trying to work out the kinks with the new terminal or if they are anticipating arriving late or something else.

We also board tomorrow, and received the same email. They said sail away would be at five instead of four. Like you, we are curious. Anyone know?

Any explanation besides what is listed in the official message from RCI is informed guessing at best.

This is the end of Thanksgiving week and Sunday is a HUGE travel day. The ship could be at one of the highest capacities of the year due to a holiday week with many families on board.

 

The standard buses and shuttles could be delayed due to traffic and high demand. Taxis and online hailing rides will be stressed by demand volume.

 

This is not just for cruises, AAA has stated that airport, road, and train traffic is exceeding 2019 numbers by almost 8% in some cases.

 

When I boarded in September on the Oasis, it was a low demand season compared to today. They had problems with debarking passengers still waiting for pickup as incoming passengers were arriving.

 

I would "guess" @Biker19 but it is only informed guessing at best. 😉

Usually our delays have been for either Coast Guard inspections, or extra cleaning (fogging) due to illness onboard (previously Noro, but flu and other illnesses abound right now).  
 

But it is all a guess, unless they say.

I would guess some sort of administrative delay like coast guard inspection or a CBP event for crew.
