Is there a way to "follow" particular users?

If I find a user's posts especially helpful and/or interesting, is there a way to "follow" them so I know if they've posted?

The only way I am aware of is setting  up a members I follow activity stream. Under My Activity Streams select Member|Follow. You then add names of members you want to follow.

The Menu button, upper right three horizontal bars, select Activity | My Activity Streams. At the bottom of that sub-menu is a Create New Steam button. Use it to create a new custom stream.
