Steam room Arvia

Does anyone know if the Sauna and steam rooms on Arvia are open to all at all times, with no charge.

Love a steam room between beach day and evening meal.. Regards Graham

Assuming Arvia is the same as Iona being the same design, the steam rooms are part of the spa complex which is chargeable.

The sauna and steam rooms are in the thermal suite; there is a video here of the facility. It looks like the prices start at £39 for two hours.

On Iona we have just paid £179pp for a 12 day pass.

So if you do not want full spa access and pay the fee does that mean no free steam room as on the other ships

Yes on the newer ships and Britannia there is no access without paying.  On Britannia at Christmas it was sold in 2 hour blocks.

On Arvia on 2nd April for 14 nights.

 

Watched a YouTube video yesterday of a couple reviewing Spa facilities on Iona and they said it was £20 pp for 2hrs in the Spa/hydrotherapy suite.

 

However, on Arvia it's £39 pp for 2hrs!!!

 

Why is Arvia's Spa 100% dearer than Iona's for essentially the same thing and same time??

 

IMO £20 is reasonable, £39 is NOT.

 

Also, there doesn't appear to be any multi-day Spa packages being offered on Arvia, unlike Iona and the other ships eg Britannia??

 

Anyone shed any light?

If I don't try I'll never know. I won't be quite up to par when I go so I am looking for easy activities to keep us occupied

I'm sure it will be nice - just overpriced. I've used the one on Arcadia in the past when it used to be a reasonable charge. I'm happy to make do with the free sauna & steam rooms on Aurora 😊

My husband doesn't know the price..,.and very unlikely to find out! 😉

I believe the thermal areas on ships have a high charge to keep numbers manageable. On Iona it’s a max of 12 people per session.
