Benny Tours - Jalousie Beach?

Hi,

 

I am looking for a speedboat tour to Jalousie (Sugar) beach.  Came across Benny Tours.

Has anyone done a tour with this gentleman?  Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Haven't heard of Benny. Doesn't mean his aren't great, just haven't heard of him as yet..

We've used Benny's twice and they were great.  Good communication; I would recommend.

It's been awhile but my husband and I  used Spenser Ambrose tour to Jalousie Beach which also included quick stops at points of interest along the way and a nice lunch grilled on the beach (along with rum and beer).  Very pleased.

Hi Scotlady - Did you end up going w/ Benny?  I’m also looking for speedboat vs catamaran tour and was he has good reviews on Trip Advisor, but wondering if you were able to make it to that tour and, if so, if you enjoyed it.

We went with Benny Tours.  It was a very good!

 

One caveat - like all the other tours we took, they picked us up late.

I know people talk about "island time", but the reality is that the tours tend to pick you up late, but drop you off at the scheduled time, so always count on getting 1/2 hour to an hour less time than you think you will get.

 

Other than that - the boat we went on was comfortable and seemed to be well-maintained (very important to me, as we once got temporarily stranded between St. Bart's and St. Martin when engines on a boat failed!)

 

Crew was very helpful and friendly.  Drinks on the boat (water, beer, rum punch) were plentiful and tasty.  

 

We had asked for just transportation to Sugar Beach.  This was provided, but we were part of a tour that basically dropped us off and continued on the way to the mud baths, then picked us up later.  This arrangement resulted in some confusion about the lunch we were supposed to be provided while on the beach, so be sure to ask about that immediately when you get on the boat.  

The way back was fun, with lots of music and partying.  The people who did the full tour sounded like they were very happy with it.
