Hotspot on ship

Hello, has anyone brought a hotspot on the cruise and used for internet access? Just wondering if it’s worked for anyone who has tried it. Thanks!

It would connect to the ship's cellular. Probably expensive.

I have used one in Alaskan ports.  My cellphone plan is good within the US, so even in Alaska I can connect to cell service in port.  I have taken it to the Lido Deck and sat outside on the dock side of the ship (facing town).  It has been useful.

We buy one device, connect my phone and use that as a hot-spot. Unlimited connection then.
