Multiple Ships at HMC on 12/18/23

I was looking at a potential cruise on Nieuw Statendam on 12/17/23 and I just noticed that on 12/18 there will be three ships at HMC; Nieuw Statendam, Zaandam, and Carnival Sunrise.  I was under the the clearly-mistaken impression that they didn't mix Carnival and HAL ships as HMC at the same time. This is so disappointing and really degrades the HAL brand even further. (BTW Carnival Sunrise is on a 5-day out of Miami).

Have others experienced this?

I think I will skip this cruise.

The Carnival ship will not be there...it will be directed elsewhere. Carnival NEVER is at HMC with HAL ships.

2 ships there happens with some frequency. In our 10 visits, another ship has been there twice.

On the Private Islands board, here:

there is a lot of info, and this is discussed there from time to time.

CruiserBruce,

Thank you for the information. I double checked at the Car. Sunrise is scheduled to be at HMC on 12/18. Could be interesting.

Again,  the Carnival ship will be moved elsewhere. I have also NEVER heard 3 ships being there. There is plenty of time to reassign the Carnival ship.

I have never seen 3 ships schedule to be there, either. It's crowded enough with two of HAL's larger ships there. I have seen Carnival and HAL ships scheduled for the same day several times, but at some point, as you said, it gets changed.

Hi CurlerRob,

What do you mean by Error?

Thanks for any input.

I edited my post - blanking it, as it was in the wrong thread. "Error" was the reason for my edit, it was not a commentary of any sort - we can't delete posts once made, only edit them. 🍺🥌
