Looking forward to our upcoming cruise.

I am not a breakfast person so I probably won't eat anything before setting off for  late morning excursions.

Is there a possibility of getting a sandwich, fruit or something light for a "to-go"

snack?

Thanks !!

Not really sure what accommodations you could expect from Oceania other than going to breakfast and making a "takeout' plate from the selections available but would caution you to check the local laws before you disembark for your excursion - some (many?) places prohibit bringing various food items ashore (especially fresh fruits and vegetables).

Ka Honu's advice is good. I always carry almonds for emergencies and so far they have passed muster with the food checks at ports. Possible trouble-free foods...nuts, bready items (bread or pastries or cereal), maybe some hard cheese or a smoothie in a thermal cup. There are also snack packets to purchase in the ship's stores...I think chips, granola bars...that type of thing.

Maybe take some pre packaged power bars/granola bars  to tide you over until you find a place to eat ashore

many Countries do not allow you to bring food off the ship unless prepackaged

I might suggest Kind bars.  I get a box of the low sugar mini Kind bars at our local warehouse club (BJs) and they are packaged in a plastic wrap that is partially clear.  So that makes them easy to travel with since the contents are visible and they don't set off security scanners.  One time I took another kind of protein/granola bar that was in a solid wrapper through TSA airport security and got pulled aside for screening - turns out the foil lined wrapper set off alarms.
