Ft Lauderdale/what to do before late flight disembarkation day

Recommended Posts

When I’ve had a really late flight, I’ve rented a car for the day so I have a place to stash my luggage. National car rental has the Emerald aisle at the airport so you can pick your car up without having to wait in line. We’ve taken an airboat ride in the Everglades and have gone to the beach to kill time.

We rented a car right by the cruiseport (they picked us up off the boat) and returmed it at the airport (I think it was a budget rental) - we did the segway tour and it was lots of fun - went out for a long lunch on the canal and then got to the airport around 4

Hate sitting at airport and know that staying overnight is an option but then you have the hassle of to/from hotel etc. Any advice for minimizing the agony?

What time does your flight leave (I presume FLL)?

You can do an excursion.  The ship might have the Everglades excursion.  I did that recently and just wrote a review of it.  I think your flight needs to be after 3 to do it.
